MODEL CommandTHE MODEL COMMANDThe MODEL command is used to describe the model to be estimated. Ithas options for defining latent variables, describing relationships amongvariables in the model, and specifying details of the model. TheMODEL command has variations for use with models with indirecteffects, models with non-linear constraints, models with parameterconstraints for the Wald test, multiple group models, mixture models, multilevel models, and models for generating data for Monte Carlosimulation studies.Following are the options for the MODEL command:MODEL:BYshort for measured by -- defines latent variablesexample: f1 BY y1-y5;ONshort for regressed on -- defines regression relationshipsexample: f1 ON x1-x9;PONshort for regressed on -- defines paired regression relationshipsexample: f2 f3 PON f1 f2;WITHshort for correlated with -- defines correlational relationshipsexample: f1 WITH f2;PWITHshort for correlated with -- defines paired correlationalrelationshipsexample: f1 f2 f3 PWITH f4 f5 f6;list of variables;refers to variances and residual variancesexample: f1 y1-y9;[list of variables];refers to means, intercepts, thresholdsexample: [f1, y1-y9];* frees a parameter at a default value or a specific starting valueexample: y1* y2*.5;@fixes a parameter at a default value or a specific valueexample: y1@ y2@0;(number)constrains parameters to be equalexample: f1 ON x1 (1);f2 ON x2 (1);variable$numberlabel for the threshold of a variablevariable#numberlabel for nominal observed or categorical latent variablevariable#1label for censored or count inflation variablevariable#numberlabel for baseline hazard parametersvariable#numberlabel for a latent class(name)label for a parameter{list of variables};refers to scale factorsexample: {y1-y9};569
