MODEL CommandMODEL label:MODEL followed by a label is used to describe the group-specificanalysis models in multiple group analysis and the analysis model foreach categorical latent variable in mixture modeling when there are morethan one categorical latent variable in the analysis.In multiple group analysis, MODEL followed by a label is used todescribe differences between the overall analysis model described in theMODEL command and the analysis model for each group. Labels aredefined using the GROUPING option of the VARIABLE command forraw data in a single file, by the FILE option of the DATA command forraw data in separate files, and by the program for summary data.MODEL followed by a label is used in conjunction with the%WITHIN% and %BETWEEN% specifications in multiple groupmultilevel analysis.In mixture modeling, MODEL followed by a label is used to describe theanalysis model for each categorical latent variable when there are morethan one categorical latent variable in the analysis and for combinationsof categorical latent variables when there are more than two categoricallatent variables in the analysis. Labels are defined by using the names ofthe categorical latent variables.When there are more than one categorical latent variable in the model,the class-specific parts of the model for each categorical latent variablemust be specified within a MODEL command for that categorical latentvariable. The %OVERALL% specification is not included in theMODEL commands for each categorical latent variable. Following is anexample of how to specify the MODEL command when there are morethan one categorical latent variable in the model:MODEL c1:%c1#1%%c1#2%where the class-specific parts of the model for c1 is specified afterMODEL c1.When there are more than two categorical latent variables in the model,MODEL commands for pairs of categorical latent variables are allowed.623
