MODEL CommandLABELING CATEGORICAL LATENTVARIABLES AND UNORDERED CATEGORIAL(NOMINAL) OBSERVED VARIABLESThe classes of categorical latent variables and the categories ofunordered categorical (nominal) observed variables are referred to byusing the convention of adding to a variable name a number sign (#)followed by the category/class number. For example, if c is acategorical latent variable with three classes, the first two classes arereferred to as c#1 and c#2. The third class has all parameters fixed atzero as a reference category. If u1 is a nominal variable with threecategories, the first two categories are referred to as u1#1 and u1#2. Thethird category has all parameters fixed at zero as a reference category. With the ON option categorical latent variables and unorderedcategorical (nominal) observed variables can be referred to by theirvariable name. With the WITH option, categorical latent variables canbe referred to by their variable name.LABELING INFLATION VARIABLESCensored and count inflation variables are referred to by using theconvention of adding to a variable name a number sign (#) followed bythe number one. For example, if y1 is a censored variable, the inflationpart of y1 is referred to as y1#1. If u1 is a count variable, the inflationpart of u1 is referred to as u1#1.LABELING BASELINE HAZARD PARAMETERSIn continuous-time survival modeling, there are as many baseline hazardparameters are there are time intervals plus one. When theBASEHAZARD option of the ANALYSIS command is ON, theseparameters can be referred to by using the convention of adding to thename of the time-to-event variable the number sign (#) followed by anumber. For example, for a time-to-event variable t with 5 timeintervals, the six baseline hazard parameters are referred to as t#1, t#2,t#3, t#4, t#5, and t#6.599
