Data Take–OnTake–On phase will be initiated when the proposed solution is ready to be deployed. It willentail the following steps:i) Schedule data transfer of the computerized data that has been newly createdby the data entry operators based on the hard copy records.j) Schedule data transfer of the existing digital data in the proposed new formatk) Migrate the data from an old system (legacy) to the envisaged databasel) Test on the staging servers after the data take-on with testing routinesm) Migrate from staging servers to production serversn) Deploy and rollout the system as per the project planAdditional Guidelines for Data Migration1. SI shall migrate/convert/digitize the data at the implementation sites ofstate.2. SI shall formulate the ―Data Migration Strategy document‖ which will alsoinclude internal quality assurance mechanism. This will be reviewed andsigned–off by state prior to commencement of data migration.3. SI shall incorporate all comments and suggestions of state in the DataMigration Strategy and process documents before obtaining sign–off fromstate.4. SI shall perform mock data migration tests to validate the conversionprograms.5. SI shall ensure complete data cleaning and validation for all data migratedfrom the legacy systems to the new application.6.
