The O/s should be GNU/Linux (e.g BOSS, Redhat, Fedora,Ubuntuetc.) and preferably Debian version as per details and quantities specified in Bill of Quantity.The O/s supplied must be LTS (long term support) version. For office suite latest version ofthe Open office must be preloaded.All the O/s licenses if applicable should be in the name of ADGP, CID,Assam Police,Guwahati. All System Software licenses if applicable shall be genuine, perpetual, full use andshould provide patches, bug fixes, security patches, and updates directly from the respectiveOEM for the contract period. The software product used should have well defined productroadmap by the respective OEM. The proposed system software must provideindemnification and indemnification must cover patent claims, copy right claims, legal feesand damages claim. System integrator or respective developer / manufacturer must protectthe department from all such legal cost that may arise out of any claim by a third partyalleging intellectual property infringement i.e. related to the software.Bidder shall provide a comprehensive warranty that covers all components after the issuanceof the final acceptance test of department. The warranty should cover all materials, licenses,services and support for both hardware and software. Bidder shall administer warranties withserial number of equipment during warranty period. Upon final acceptance of Assam Policeany developer / manufacturer warranties will be transferred to Assam Police at no additionalcharge. All warranty documentation (whether expired or not) will be delivered to AssamPolice at the issuance of final acceptance certificate.Assam Police Page 332
