The State has to define the various infrastructure componentsto be hosted in a Private and Public Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). E.g. Firewalls, intrusionprevention systems (IPS), Load balancers, gateway level anti-virus system etc would bedeployed in the Public Demilitarized Zone. State has to explain the access mechanisms foruser categories defined i.e. ‗External users and Internal users‘ to the various zones. Forexample, External users (citizens/business users) would be able to access non-restricted areasof the application over internet. The public web server and the internal firewall a part of thepublic DMZ would be configured to render only those application pages that can be accessedpublicly.The following figure depicts the access path in case of external users:Assam Police Page 292
