CCTNS Functional & Technical Specifications(e) Violations and Associated Penalties(a) The primary intent of Penalties is to ensure that the system performs in accordance withthe defined service levels. Penalties are not meant to be punitive or, conversely, a vehicle foradditional fees.(b) A six monthly performance evaluation will be conducted using the six monthly reportingperiods of that period.(c) Penalty Calculations : The framework for Penalties, as a result of not meeting the ServiceLevel Targets are as follows:i. The performance will be measured for each of the defined service level metricagainst the minimum / target service level requirements and the violations will becalculated accordingly.b) The number of violations in the reporting period for each level of severity willbe totaled and used for the calculation of Penalties.i. If the total number of credits gained by the SI is lower than the total number ofhigh severity violations in the reporting period, the total number of credits willbe subtracted from the total number of High Severity Violations in thereporting period for the calculation of Penalties.ii.If the total number of credits gained by the SI is higher than the total numberof high severity violations in the reporting period, the resultant total numberof high severity violations in the reporting period for calculation of penaltieswill be considered as zero (0).iii.Penalties applicable for each of the high severity violations is two (2) % ofrespective half yearly payment to the SI.Assam Police Page 225
