The course explores factorsthat affect Web layout and design, suchas browser, screen resolution, navigation,connection speed, typography, graphics,and color. An introduction to basic HTMLwill also be covered. Emerging digital technologiessimulate traditional motion pictureproduction. Assignments include aspectsof producing, storyboarding, directing,cinematography, lighting, and editing indigital formats, resulting in short digital filmprojects presented on DVD. Digital photographicsoftware applications utilized in thecreation of color and monochrome printsas well as custom image manipulationwill be investigated. A focus on subjectmatter, history and trends in photographicmedia will also be covered.
