Disruptive Activity. Obstruction, disruption, or interferencewith classes, research, administrative functions, or otherUniversity activities is not permitted. Likewise, infringement onthe rights of others is prohibited.2. Reasonable Access. It is important to provide reasonableaccess to and exit from any office, classroom, laboratory, orbuilding. Likewise vehicular and pedestrian traffic should notbe obstructed.3. Peaceful Assembly. Picketing or demonstrating in an orderlymanner or distributing literature outside University buildingsis acceptable with the appropriate approval from the Deanof Students. Demonstrations inside campus buildings areprohibited. All applicable University policies on writtenmaterials apply as well.4. Symbolic Protest. Displaying a sign, gesturing, wearingsymbolic clothing, or otherwise protesting silently ispermissible unless it is a disruptive activity or impedesaccess. Such actions should not interfere with others viewor prevent them from being able to pay attention to otherevents, which may be occurring. In all instances signs maynot be carried with the aid of wooden, plastic, or metalsticks, pipes or polls.5. Noise. Making sustained or repeated noise in a mannerthat substantially interferes with a speaker’s ability tocommunicate his/her message is prohibited. Noise levelsshould not interfere with classes, meetings, or activities inprogress.6. Force or Violence. Any attempt to prevent a Universityactivity or other lawful assembly by the threat or use of forceor violence is prohibited.7. Damage to Property. Care should always be taken toensure that University and personal property is not damagedor destroyed.8. Other University Regulations.
