Auckland to Duued<strong>in</strong> (Huti<strong>on</strong>) ; Port Denis<strong>on</strong>, Queensland(Co/ipim/er).The specimens from Port Denis<strong>on</strong>, which may bel<strong>on</strong>g to thisspecies, are very like T. norveyicus and T. palmulata externally.Thesculpture is similar, but <strong>the</strong> notch or angle <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> anterior side isnot quite so deep as <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> former. The <strong>in</strong>terior of <strong>the</strong> valves hasnot a dist<strong>in</strong>ct ridge mark<strong>in</strong>g off <strong>the</strong> posterior lobe. The pallets,want<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> specimens before me, are said to be " el<strong>on</strong>gate,slightly curved, penniform."Mya arctica, L<strong>in</strong>n.2. Saxicava arctica.Hah. Port Jacks<strong>on</strong> (^Copp<strong>in</strong>ge)").Four specimens from <strong>the</strong> above locality and o<strong>the</strong>rs <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> BritishMuseum, also from New 8outh Wales, I am unable to separate fromthis nor<strong>the</strong>rn form. Dr. Gwyn Jeffreys and o<strong>the</strong>rs have also failedto distiuguish Australian from Arctic examples.3.
