situations such as market price of the paddy rice,<br />

3. analysis of the agronomic data shows that it is possible for the PPSUs to<br />

determine faumers' practices <strong>and</strong> their cost-benefit returns.<br />

4. the dissemination of SEWS technology to farmers through the STFs is<br />

adequate, but still limited to localities. At present, we have started to spread<br />

this technology to Kaset Tambon (sub-district extension agents), 30% of<br />

whom have been trained by PPSU technicians. We expect to train all Kaset<br />

Tambon by the end of 1987. Therefore, the simplified technology will<br />

become widely transferred to farmeis throughout Thail<strong>and</strong> in accordance with<br />

our plans <strong>and</strong> targets.<br />
