Professor Deborah Jin from the University<br />

of Colorado (USA) was the first to succeed in<br />

cooling down molecules to such an extent<br />

that chemical reactions could be observed in<br />

slow motion. Dr Jin was the L’Oréal–<strong>UNESCO</strong><br />

laureate for North America in 2013.<br />
