8. Use the Eraser tool to cut the base of the trunk parallel with the ground and clean up the
image as necessary. This is what you should have now.
9. Crop the image to the edges of the tree, scale it to your liking, and save it as a transparent
PNG file.
10. In SketchUp, change your view to a parallel-perspective front view, which reduces errors
in the next steps.
11. Import the image into SketchUp using the File k Import. . . menu item. Make sure you
check “Use as image” in the import options.
12. Double-click on the origin to place the tree in your model. Scale the tree to your liking.
