'<strong>Ali</strong> ibn <strong>Abi</strong> Tilib 139<br />

(XV)'Umar ibn Sa'eed an-Nakha'i a,-Sahbhi, Abu Y&ya al-<br />

Kufi, from <strong>Ibn</strong> Ma'een, who was trustworthy and was<br />

mentioned by <strong>Ibn</strong> IJibbh among the trustworthy. He<br />

narrated a hadith from '<strong>Ali</strong> about the punishment for the<br />

one who drinks alcohol. <strong>Ibn</strong> Sa'd said: He died in 115 AH,<br />

or it was said in 107 AH.^''<br />

(xvi) Hki' ibn Hhi' al-Hamadhzni al-Kufi. An-NasPi said:<br />

There is nothing wrong with him. He was mentioned by<br />

<strong>Ibn</strong> Hibbk among the trustworthy, and it was said that he<br />

was a Shia. <strong>Ibn</strong> Madeeni said: He is unknown. <strong>Ibn</strong> Sa'd<br />

said: His hadith was rejected. It was narrated from ash-<br />

Shifa'i: The scholars <strong>of</strong> hadith do not accept his hadith<br />

because his condition is unknown. He was mentioned by<br />

<strong>Ibn</strong> Sa'd in at-Tabaqrjt al-Oola in Kufah. Adh-Dhahabi<br />

said: There is nothing wrong with him.303<br />

(xvii) Yazeed ibn Shurayk ihn T%iq at-Taymi al-Kufi. It was<br />

narrated from Y&ya ibn Ma'een that he was trustworthy.<br />

He was mentioned by <strong>Ibn</strong> IJibbh among the trustworthy.<br />

<strong>Ibn</strong> Sa'd said: He was trustworthy and was the chief <strong>of</strong> his<br />

people. It was said that he was born during the time <strong>of</strong><br />

j2hiliyyah. He narrated from 'Umar, '<strong>Ali</strong>, Abu Dharr, <strong>Ibn</strong><br />

Sa'd and ~udha~fah.~'~<br />
