Installer Tip: If the keypad is inactive, or if NevoStudio Pro will not let you
drop the functions, check the inheritance settings for the page
collection and/or Master Page. See “A Note About Inheritance” on
page 101 for details on how inheritance works. See “Appendix A:
Properties” on page 145 for details on changing property settings.

Working with Themes
Themes allow you to apply a pre-defined set of qualities to a page:
• background
• default font
• button appearance (button image, Button Type, Button Size, button text
font and location, Symbol Type, and Symbol Size). This applies only if
you used a key group to place the buttons or added the pages using the
Add Device wizard’s “Add Page Collection” feature)
Theme files contain pre-determined settings that allow you to change the
look and feel of a page quickly and easily. NevoStudio Pro provides several
default themes available in the Gallery panel.
Adding Themes to Pages
Add themes to your pages to speed up configuration development. To add a
theme, simply drag it from the theme gallery to a page or to any level in the
Job View panel. The background, button images, fonts, and symbols from
the theme are applied to the page.
Some notes about adding themes:
• The following properties must match for a button on a page to be
replaced by a theme:
• Button Type
• Button Type Size
• Symbol Type
If these properties are not the same between the button types in the
theme and the buttons on your page, the buttons that do not match will
not be replaced. See “Appendix B: Button Types and Type Sizes” on
page 157 for more information on button types and sizes.
• If any of the buttons on the page to which you applied a theme show the
Button Type property set to Custom, those buttons will not be updated
when you apply the theme. Change the Button Type property to match
one of those in the selected theme and reapply the theme, or manually
