Glossary Subnet Mask A subnet (short for “subnetwork”) represents all the machines on the same local area network (LAN). The subnet mask is typically 255.255.255.0. TCP/IP Transmission Control Protocol / Internet Protocol, the convention that computers and networked devices such as Nevo S70 use to communicate over the Internet.
