Designing with NevoStudio Pro Working with Backgrounds
If you want to include gallery items that are not stored in the standard
folder, open the folder containing the images:
1. Click in the Background Gallery.
2. Select Browse Gallery Location.
3. Navigate to the drive and folder containing the images you want to use.
CAUTION: Choose the folder immediately above the folder containing the
images you want to use. NevoStudio Pro reads only images
within subfolders of the folder you choose here.
4. Click OK.
The last gallery open when you exit NevoStudio Pro will appear the next
time you open NevoStudio Pro.
Installer Tip: To return to the default browser location, click in
the Background Gallery, then select Restore Gallery Location.
Applying Backgrounds to Pages
A page can use a color or an image for the background. By default, the
background for a new page is a light blue color (default_blue from the
Standard Background Gallery). To apply an image from the gallery as a
background, click an image thumbnail in the open Background Gallery and
drag it to the page in the Design panel. The image will be re-sized to fit the
page. See “Working with Background Images” on page 110 for image file
specifications.
When you drag a background image to the page or page collection, you
haven't destroyed the color value. Instead, you have elected to display the
Background Image instead of the Background Color. You could always set
the Background Type to be Color again.
To apply a solid color:
1. Click the page in the Design panel, being careful to click in an unused
area of the page.
2. Open the Background Color drop-down menu in the Properties panel:
