Label Properties
Property Description
Caption Type a caption for the label. The text you type will
appear on the label if you select Yes in Show
Caption. Generally, keep to one word or no more
than fifteen letters, depending on the font and size
you choose.
Installer Tip:You can enter multiple lines of text in a
caption. Press � + � to insert a carriage
return.
Font Click the browse button to select the font attributes
from a standard Windows font dialog, or click the +
to expand the list and specify the font properties
directly.
If the value for Use Page Font is Yes, then you will
not be able to edit the Font value for the Label. To
overwrite the page font, set the value of Use Page
Font to No.
Font Alignment Open the drop down list and choose a relative
physical position for the text. The images in the list
show possible positions for the text. These positions
are in relation to the entire (rectangular) area the
item occupies; experiment until you like the
placement.
Font Color Open the drop-down list and select a color from the
available color palettes or specify the RGB (Red,
Green, Blue) values directly to create custom colors.
Show Caption Choose whether to show the label caption or not.
Use Page Font Open the drop down list and select an option:
• If the item should use the default font specified
in the Page Properties (or the Page Collection
properties, if the Page is set to Inherit Font from
the Page Collection), select Yes.
• To specify custom font values, change this
property value to No to enable the Font and Font
Color properties.
