Workspace Getting to Know NevoStudio Pro Saving Your Workspace You can save and open adjusted workspace layouts, and you can reset the layout back to the default. To save a workspace layout: 1. Adjust the workspace. 2. Exit NevoStudio Pro. Your panel layout will appear the next time you open NevoStudio Pro. Getting to Know NevoStudio Pro Tool Panels Tool Panels Tool panels contain the items you can place in jobs and configurations. NevoStudio Pro includes the following tool panels: Job View panel This panel contains all of the screens your clients will see on Nevo and some infrastructure elements NevoStudio Pro provides to help you organize the entire job. A Job is a collection of Nevo configurations. Each remote in a home job has a unique Configuration file. Pages are screens that appear on Nevo. They provide a way to group the commands your clients will use to navigate Nevo and operate their equipment. Sometimes you will need to include more commands than will usefully fit on a single page. When this happens, you will need to create several related pages. NevoStudio Pro provides page collections to group these sets of related pages. Page collections enable you to view and edit related pages easily, without having to browse around looking for them. Within Nevo, page collections appear sequentially, so that your clients can easily find all the commands, for example, that operate a specific device. Page collections also enable you to unify the look and feel of these related pages. NevoStudio Pro includes the following types of pages and page collections: • The Job name appears at the top of the job view tree. It is created for you automatically when you create a new job. The job name is the name of the file and cannot be modified except by using File|Save As... • The Configurations appear in the next level of the job view tree. It is created for you automatically when you create a new configuration. Each configuration is identified by controller type (S70 or Q50) and a configuration name. Use this page to apply properties to the entire configuration. • The Home Page is the first page your clients will see in Nevo. It is created for you automatically when you create a new configuration. You cannot delete this page. Use this page to provide starting actions for your clients. NevoStudio Pro Design Guide 15
