No. 19 - 10 Jahres Ausgabe, Lech & Zürs

It was the hour of birth of MEISTERSTRASSE – an umbrella
brand and network with the goal of finding the best master
craftsmen and manufactures to make their work available
to a broad public in order to contribute to the renaissance
of European craftsmanship culture.
As of 2012, Lech Zürs’ winter seasons are all about masterful
quality craftsmanship. Within the framework of the
project “MEISTERSTRASSE IN RESIDENCE”, exclusive
master craftsmen and manufacture owners let you take
a peek over their shoulders as they work in the region’s
leading hotels as “MASTERS IN RESIDENCE”, thereby
granting onlookers insight into their craft, their ideas, their
history, and showing off selected products. A special highlight
on occasion of the ten-year anniversary this year:
three Japanese manufacture owners who present the
centuries old ceramics tradition of their country.
L.L. What connects the Meisterstrasse organisation and
Lech Zürs?
N.R. As a quality seal for excellent craftsmanship, selected
manufactured products, and regional specialties made by
entrepreneurs and craftsmen who do their jobs with great
professionalism and passion, realising the MEISTERSTRASSE
IN RESIDENCE project in the region around the Arlberg was
an obvious choice. The clientele here value authenticity,
quality, and individuality in all areas of their lives and they
may also want to bring back the one or the other handcrafted
treasure from their ski holiday.

world there are many master craftsmen who do their work
