dt. / Mitten in der Arlbergidylle liegt der Almhof der Familie Schneider – ein Fünf-Sterne-Haus, das Gästen aus aller Welt schon seit fast <strong>10</strong>0 Jahren als Rückzugsort vom stressigen Alltag dient. Hier werden Traditionen bewahrt und zeitgemäße Gepflogenheiten gelebt. Zu diesen modernen Bräuchen gehört sicherlich auch ein Besuch der angrenzenden Schneggarei, geführt von Andreas Schneider. Der sympathische <strong>Lech</strong>er, der in unterschiedlichen Hotels auf der ganzen Welt gearbeitet hat, schuf gemeinsam mit seinen Geschwistern eine moderne Skihütte, die ein ungezwungener Ort für rustikales Essen, Pizza vom Holzofen und fröhliches Feiern ist. Vielfach auch für die Architektur ausgezeichnet ist die Schneggarei heute ein Muss für Après-Ski und junge Leute. Auch die nächste Generation arbeitet schon mit: Andreas Schneiders Sohn Leo hat als nachrückende Generation das Handwerk von der Pike auf gelernt. Zusammen mit dem Team vor Ort sorgt der 27-Jährige jetzt ebenfalls für losgelöste Genussmomente bei den Gästen. Kulinarik & Genuss „Es sollte von Anfang an nicht nur eine normale Hütte sein, sondern etwas ganz Besonderes.“ „Die kulturelle Einzigartigkeit der Region spiegelt sich in der Schneggarei wider.“ L.L. Viele Gäste fragen sich, was es mit dem speziellen Namen auf sich hat. Was bedeutet Schneggarei eigentlich? A.S. Das ist der alte Flurname vom Standort der Hütte. Früher war das alles Sumpfgebiet, wo natürlich viele Schnecken lebten. Hinzu kommt die Lage am Hang. Daraus ergab sich Schnegga= Schnecken und Rei = steiler Hang, also Schneggarei. 239
