The data in <strong>the</strong> chart are valid for Boletice. Navigati<strong>on</strong> between Boletice and Střekov will<br />

c<strong>on</strong>tinue to be limited by low water levels. It is impossible to predict periods with low water levels,<br />

or whe<strong>the</strong>r <strong>the</strong> period will be c<strong>on</strong>tinuous or distributed within a year. The <strong>on</strong>ly soluti<strong>on</strong> possible is to<br />

process <strong>the</strong> average figures. The project is based <strong>on</strong> average number of navigable days for <strong>the</strong><br />

secti<strong>on</strong> Děčín - Střekov.<br />

4.5.2.6.3 Benefits of <strong>the</strong> Děčín navigable lock for <strong>the</strong> number of freight vehicles transporting <strong>on</strong><br />

<strong>the</strong> route Děčín – Sachsen<br />

The assessment was c<strong>on</strong>ducted for medium opti<strong>on</strong>. The expected low water levels between<br />

Boletice – Střekov were c<strong>on</strong>sidered, as well as more intensive utilizati<strong>on</strong> of <strong>the</strong> overload point in<br />

Děčín – Loubí c<strong>on</strong>nected to <strong>the</strong> railway network.<br />

4.5.2.6.4 Foreseen use of <strong>the</strong> Danube-Oder-<strong>Elbe</strong> waterway<br />

The following analysis of transport opportunities of <strong>the</strong> D-O-E waterway is based <strong>on</strong> <strong>the</strong> AGN<br />

Agreement (<strong>the</strong> most recent document by <strong>the</strong> EU referring to <strong>the</strong> D-O-E waterways is <strong>the</strong><br />

resoluti<strong>on</strong> 04/2008 of <strong>the</strong> EP Doc 10730). The basic c<strong>on</strong>diti<strong>on</strong>s are following:<br />

A feasibility study for “Improvement of C<strong>on</strong>diti<strong>on</strong>s for <strong>the</strong> <strong>River</strong> Transport in <strong>Central</strong> <strong>Europe</strong> (mainly <strong>on</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Elbe</strong><br />

<strong>River</strong>)“ realized within <strong>the</strong> ChemLog project 168
