Substrates transported here are oil, steel, coal, automobiles and lump items. The volume of
goods transported by railway to the port and its surroundings reaches 4 million tons per year.
Products transported by waterways from the port to inland destinations are petroleum, supplies
for factories in the Netherlands and other European countries and coal. The shuttle container
transport is realized several times a week between Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Antwerpen and
Germany.
In 2006, 85 million tons of goods were reloaded in the port including bulk loose substrates (bulk
agriculture products, biomass, sand, gravel, granite) and liquid commodities (oil products, bio-fuels,
specific chemicals).
