The absence of all-year access to <strong>the</strong> North Sea by inland waterways and complete lack<br />

of access to <strong>the</strong> Danube may cause future traffic and ec<strong>on</strong>omic problems with fierce price<br />

fluctuati<strong>on</strong>s of petroleum products and increased demand for cheap and reliable<br />

c<strong>on</strong>necti<strong>on</strong> of <strong>the</strong> CR and major <strong>Europe</strong>an and world loading terminals. Therefore, it is<br />

necessary to supervise development of waterways from <strong>the</strong> l<strong>on</strong>g-term strategic perspective.<br />
