an Ethiopian, from whom Zipporah was born (Commentary to the Pentateuch, ed. S.
Kanivsky [New York, 1981], 3:43 to Numbers 12:1). The manuscript referred to
above records the same tradition in the name of the talmudic sages (Ephraim b.
Shimshon, Commentary 2:86.)
