Experiment 3 aimed to compare the preexposure effects of two different types of
stimuli: (1) a preexposure condition similar to that of previous experiments, and (2) a new
preexposure of position markers that just indicates the location of the grouped patterns in
subsequent identification task. This last condition used position markers consisted of 4 x4 white
