Official Daily News Source f or International Visitors at IFA News DRYERS The manufacturers of the latest tumble dryers are also committed to achieving the maximum energy efficiency, in particular through the use of heat pumps. Programmes The latest refrigerators offer many different functions for improved flexibility and efficiency. COOKING The effective and safe supply of heat through induction is now becoming more widely used in cooking. A special induction unit with integrated heating temperature ranges of hobs, thus preventing the cooking oil from overheating and minimizing the fire risk from self-ignition. Induction as a source of heat is becoming an increasingly important factor. DISHWASHERS With increased spray pressure or the ability to spray hot steam, the latest dishwashers can tackle even the toughest tasks such as removing dried or burnt food residues, eliminating the need for initial soaking and scrubbing. These technical advances are being accompanied by a steady decline in water and energy consumption figures. This process is also assisted, for example, by the hot water supply, by energy-efficient zeolithe dryers and special insulation for the housing. Special programmes, a different water pressure for the upper and lower baskets, and automatic load recognition ensure that, although dishes and glasses are treated gently, they are washed cleaner than ever before. Moreover, the special insulation and extra quiet motors keep noise levels to a minimum. The same applies to the many kitchen aids in the food preparation sector, with food processors, blenders and grills. An extensive range of products has been created in the body care sector, ranging from hair styling and the care and removal of hair to oral and dental care and skin care. REFRIGERATORS The latest refrigerators offer many different functions for improved flexibility and efficiency. In some cases the interiors can be used either for refrigerating or for freezing. Each of the double doors can be opened separately to minimize the inflow of warm air when drinks are removed, thereby reducing the amount of energy needed for cooling. Energy efficiency is also improved through the use of new insulating materials. coils converts the energy for baking and roasting. Another new development involves steaming in a vacuum, whereby the food is vacuum-sealed in plastic bags and cooked gently at low temperatures. Some ovens can add moisture to the food while it is being cooked. This is an even more effective way of retaining the flavour as well as the vitamins and nutrients. The very latest ovens can prepare several dishes simultaneously on three different levels, but without allowing the aromas to combine. Manufacturers are now offering ovens with 30 per cent more interior volume. Sensors monitor the With some 3,000 new products annually the small electrical appliance sector has reached new levels of innovation. This applies in particular to the popular appliances for preparing hot beverages. COFFEE MAKERS The range of fully automated coffee makers and of capsule and espresso machines is designed to meet customers’ every requirement for standalone or built-in machines. As well as coffee, a growing number of them can also make other hot beverages such as chocolate or tea. Sensors are used to identify the selected cup size and to automatically set the nozzle to the right height. Breakfast sets are not only more effective, but are increasingly developing into design objects made with the finest materials.
