Configuration <strong>and</strong> Calibration<br />
This section provides procedures to:<br />
View configuration data <strong>and</strong> status messages for the <strong>SVI</strong> <strong>II</strong> <strong>AP</strong><br />
Configure the <strong>SVI</strong> <strong>II</strong> <strong>AP</strong><br />
Calibrate <strong>and</strong> tune the <strong>SVI</strong> <strong>II</strong> <strong>AP</strong><br />
Observe all warnings as the valve moves during these procedures.<br />
These procedures can cause the valve to move. Before proceeding be sure the valve is<br />
isolated from the process. Keep h<strong>and</strong>s clear from moving parts.<br />
NOTE<br />
All configuration <strong>and</strong> calibration procedures are described using an <strong>SVI</strong> <strong>II</strong><br />
<strong>AP</strong> with pushbuttons <strong>and</strong> display <strong>and</strong> ValVue software.<br />
Configuration with Pushbutton Display<br />
Prior to changing the <strong>SVI</strong> <strong>II</strong> <strong>AP</strong> configuration, check the existing configuration.<br />
Verify that the mounting has not been damaged in shipment for a premounted <strong>SVI</strong> <strong>II</strong> <strong>AP</strong>.<br />
Record the following information for the configuration checkout:<br />
Valve Air to Open (ATO) or Air to Close (ATC)<br />
Actuator pressure rating<br />
Actuator bench range<br />
Inherent trim characteristic of the control valve; linear, equal percentage, or other.<br />
Refer to valve data sheet or model number of control valve.<br />
