Ensure that employees under their direction are aware of any applicable air permit requirements and emissions limits; b. Ensure that the EO is contacted prior to initiating a new or modified process or purchasing equipment that may emit air contaminants; and c. Ensure that any new or changed material or process is evaluated for the possibility of an accidental release of air pollution and, if such a possibility exists, suitable safeguards and emergency response activities are included in the design. 5.4.4 Clinical Services Branch shall: Provide the EO with accurate annual reports on the amount and type of chemicals used and stored at each JSC, EF, SCTF, and EPFOL. 5.4.5 The EO shall: a. Prepare monthly and yearly metrics and reports to comply with Federal and State air regulations. b. Obtain and maintain emissions inventory documentation involved in facilities programs, which may affect the quality of the environment. c. Place and maintain air emission tags on all regulated equipment. d. Submit timely notifications for emission events, scheduled maintenance, startup or shutdown activities, to TCEQ, and obtain any permits or authorizations as required. 5.5 Personnel Training and Certification Requirements 5.5.1 General Air Emissions Training Air emissions training is not mandatory. However, personnel involved in the design, construction, operation, maintenance, modification, or decommissioning of air emissions sources and their supervisors are encouraged to complete air emissions training available by contacting the EO. 5.5.2 ODS Servicing Training Personnel servicing ODS refrigerant-containing equipment shall obtain and maintain EPA certification. Obtaining and documenting this training is the responsibility of the DLO or contractor. 5.5.3 Halon Equipment Servicing Training Verify correct version before use at http://server-mpo.arc.nasa.gov/Services/CDMSDocs/Centers/JSC/Home.tml. Obtaining and documenting this training is the responsibility of the DLO or contractor. 5.6 Records and Forms a. Required logs shall be completed on each operating day for the equipment or in accordance with the instructions on the log or as directed by the EO. (1) The logs shall be submitted to the EO as directed. 5.7 Specific DLO-required records are listed in the Table 3.
