(2) Inert suspended solids greater than 250 mg/L;<br />
(3) Dissolved solids greater than 1000 mg/L; and<br />
(4) Excessive discoloration caused by dyes or vegetable tanning solutions.<br />
d. The IU shall consult with the EO early in the planning process to ensure that there is no<br />
impact to schedule process. If an IU submits a request to discharge an element at<br />
concentrations greater than those listed in Table 4 or a prohibited substance, the EO will<br />
generally need to request and receive approval from the POTW that receives and treats our<br />
wastewater. This may require additional information and may take additional time to receive.<br />
8.3 Responsibilities<br />
8.3.1 All employees shall:<br />
Control discharges of wastewater to the sanitary sewer from facilities, processes, or operations<br />
under their control or direction.<br />
8.3.2 Generators of wastewater shall:<br />
a. Know and follow JSC policy and procedures for discharge of wastewater;<br />
b. Provide necessary information and acquire necessary approval to discharge wastes to the<br />
sanitary sewer from the EO prior to discharge.<br />
8.3.3 FMs shall:<br />
Know the facilities and operations in their areas of responsibility that are, or have the potential<br />
to be, sources of pollution introduced to the sanitary sewer and be aware of the acceptable<br />
parameters.<br />
8.3.4 DLOs shall:<br />
a. Develop and implement procedures and requirements to control processes or operations that<br />
discharge industrial wastewater to sanitary sewer;<br />
b. Ensure that their facilities do not discharge unapproved or prohibited wastewater to the sanitary<br />
sewer;<br />
c. Provide required notifications and receive approval, when required, from the EO; and<br />
d. Notify the EO when discharges from intermittent or batch processes occur, when those<br />
discharges are required to be sampled as determined by the EO.<br />
NOTE: The wastewater generator will be informed of this requirement by the EO based on<br />
review and approval of the JF1109.<br />
8.3.5 The EO shall:<br />
