1.13.1 Sucrose solution (0.25 M)
Sucrose 8.55 g was dissolved in 100 mL distilled water.
1.13.2 Calcium chloride (1 M)
14.70 g of calcium chloride was dissolved in 100 mL distilled water.
1.14 Superoxide anion
1.14.1 Iodonitrotetrazolium (INT; 4.9 mM)
230.91 mg of INT was dissolved in I00 mL of distilled water.
1.14.2 Ethylene diarnine tetraacetic acid (EDTA; 0.3 mM)
11.16 mg of EDTA was dissolved in 100 mL of distilled water.
1.14.3 Sodium carbonate (0.92 mM)
9.74 mg of sodium carbonate was dissolved in 100 mL of distilled water.
1.15 Nitric oxide
1.1 5.1 Griess reagent
10% Sulfanilamide was added to 40% phosphoric acid (Solution A).
1 g of N-[-naphthyllethylenediamine dichloride was diluted to 100 mL with
distilled water (Solution B).
Mix equal volume of solution A and B at the time of use.
1.16 Hydrogen peroxide generation
I. 16.1 Phosphate buffer (0.05 M; pH 7.6)
0.89025 g of disodium hydrogen phosphate dihydrate was dissolved in 100
mL distilled water (Solution A).
0.69175 g of sodium dihydrogen phosphate monohydrate was dissolved in 100
mL distilled water.
Mixed 13 mL of solution A with 87 mL of solution B and made up to 200 mL
with distilled water and pH was adjusted to 7.6.
