1 mg of 80 units horseradish peroxidase was dissolved in 10 mL of distilled
water to make 8 units/ ml.
1.16.3 Phenol red (28 nM)
354.4 mg of phenol red was dissolved in IrnL of distilled water to give a
concentration of 1 M. This solution was made up to 1 L to get the
concentration of lmM, and this solution was made up to 1 L to get the
concentration of 1 pM. 28 mL of 1pM phenol red was made up to 1L with
distilled water to get the concentration of 28 nM.
1.16.4 Dextrose (100 nM)
180.1 1 mg of dextrose was dissolved in I mL of distilled water and made up
to 1 L to get the concentration of 1 mM. 1 mL of ImM dextrose solution was
made up to 1 L with distilled water to get the concentration of 1 pM. 1 mL of
IpM dextrose solution was dissolved and made up to 100 mL with distilled
water to get the concentration of 100 nM.
1.16.5 Sodium hydroxide (10 N)
40 g of sodium hydroxide pellet was dissolved in 100 mL of distilled water.
1.17 Glutathione reduced
1.17.1 Phosphate buffer (0.1 M; pH 7.0)
1.78 g of disodium hydrogen phosphate dihydrate was dissolved in 100 mL of
distilled water (Solution A).

distilled water (Solution B).
Mixed 39 mL of solution A and 61 mL of solution B and made up to 200 rnL
with distilled water and pH was adjusted to 7.0.
