As a media company we are faced with<br />

challenges every second of every hour<br />

of every day. We are in the business of<br />

informing, entertaining and educating,<br />

and we are judged by how effective we<br />

are 24 hours throughout the year. High<br />

standards therefore have to be<br />

maintained. In a competitive and a<br />

dynamic industry, being good does not<br />

get you far – we need to set new<br />

standards all the time.<br />

This is a content-driven industry where<br />

ideas and creativity rule. We embrace<br />

those who are not afraid to dream and<br />

are able to turn these dreams into<br />

reality. We have six different media<br />

platforms, we work as one, challenging<br />

and in our course, we set new<br />

standards. We are the first and the only<br />

fully integrated media company. We<br />

were the first to offer an online portal,<br />

Tonton, and the first to offer content on<br />

smart mobile devices. <strong>Media</strong> <strong>Prima</strong> is<br />

all about being the first, being innovators<br />

and being trend-setters by setting<br />

new standards.<br />

The Finance Department is staffed by<br />

people who have always been fascinated<br />

by numbers. Mathematics is all about<br />

logic, and in order to get the right<br />

answer, the workings have to be right.<br />

The key is accuracy.<br />

This fact remains true till today. What we<br />

do daily requires nothing less than<br />

getting the right information at the<br />

right time. Speed, accuracy and the<br />

ability to understand the real scenario<br />

behind those numbers is the essence<br />

of setting new standards. Being able<br />

to decipher numbers allows us to<br />

provide accurate scenario analysis with<br />

sound risk management frameworks for<br />

<strong>Media</strong> <strong>Prima</strong>.<br />

By looking at the numbers, we know<br />

exactly where we are in the market, and<br />

how to chart our next course of action<br />

and strategies. Napoleon Bonaparte, for<br />

example, conquered most of the<br />

European continent not only because he<br />

had legions of men, but also because he<br />

used mathematical calculations in his<br />

strategies. <strong>Media</strong> <strong>Prima</strong> may not conquer<br />

the world now, but with the right<br />

numbers coupled with the right strategies,<br />

we never know.<br />
