Statement on
Corporate Governance
The Board of Directors of Media
Prima Berhad is committed towards
achieving excellence in corporate
governance and acknowledges that
the prime responsibility for good
corporate governance lies with the
Board. The Board is fully committed
to ensuring that the highest standards
of corporate governance are practised
throughout Media Prima and its
subsidiaries (the Group) as a
fundamental part of discharging its
responsibilities to create, protect and
enhance shareholders’ value and the
performance of the Group.
The Malaysian Code on Corporate
Governance 2012 (the Code) aims to set
out principles and best practices on
structures and processes that companies
may apply in their operations towards achieving the
optimal governance framework. The Board reaffirms
its support to the Code and believes that good
corporate governance is fundamental in achieving
the Group’s objectives. In order to ensure that the
best interests of shareholders and other stakeholders
are effectively served, the Board continues to play
an active role in improving governance practices and
constantly monitors the development in corporate
governance including the Code.
