DATO’ ABDUL KADIR BIN MOHD DEEN<br />

Dato’ Abdul Kadir Bin Mohd Deen, aged 69, a Malaysian, is an<br />

Independent Non-Executive Director of <strong>Media</strong> <strong>Prima</strong>. He was<br />

appointed to the Board of <strong>Media</strong> <strong>Prima</strong> on 29 May 2007. He is also<br />

a Member of the Remuneration Committee, Nomination Committee<br />

and Audit Committee.<br />

Within the <strong>Media</strong> <strong>Prima</strong> Group, Dato’ Abdul Kadir sits on the Board of<br />

STMB, BTO and Alt <strong>Media</strong> Sdn Bhd. Outside the Group, he is the<br />

Chairman of Eco Motive Sdn Bhd.<br />

Dato’ Abdul Kadir was with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for over<br />

33 years and served in various overseas postings, including Second<br />

Secretary at the Embassy of Malaysia in Manila, Philippines, 1973-1976<br />

and First Secretary at the Embassy of Malaysia, Kuwait, 1977-1979. He<br />

also served as the Minister Counselor Deputy Permanent<br />

Representative, Malaysian Permanent Mission to the United Nations,<br />

New York from 1984-1988. He was subsequently assigned as Deputy<br />

Chief of Mission, Embassy of Malaysia, Beijing, People’s Republic of<br />

China from March 1988 to December 1989. In October 1990 he was<br />

reassigned as Minister, Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of Malaysia,<br />

Tokyo, Japan and thereafter in July 1992 he was appointed High<br />

Commissioner of Malaysia to Sri Lanka until December 1996. From<br />

January 1997 to February 1999 he was High Commissioner of Malaysia<br />

to South Africa. He was reassigned as Ambassador of Malaysia to the<br />

Federal Republic of Germany concurrently accredited to Switzerland<br />

and Greece from 1999 to 2003, before his retirement from the<br />

Malaysian Diplomatic Service.<br />

He holds a B.A. (Hons) from University of Lancaster, United Kingdom.<br />

Other than as disclosed, he does not have any family relationship with<br />

any Directors and/or major shareholders of <strong>Media</strong> <strong>Prima</strong>. He has no<br />

personal interest in any business arrangements involving <strong>Media</strong> <strong>Prima</strong>.<br />

Dato’ Gumuri Bin Hussain, aged 67, a Malaysian, is an Independent<br />

Non-Executive Director of <strong>Media</strong> <strong>Prima</strong>. He was appointed to the<br />

Board of <strong>Media</strong> <strong>Prima</strong> on 29 April 2008. He is also the Chairman of<br />

the Audit Committee and member of the Risk Management Committee<br />

of <strong>Media</strong> <strong>Prima</strong>.<br />

Dato’ Gumuri is currently the Chairman of SME Bank, a Board member<br />

of Metrod Holdings <strong>Berhad</strong> and KUB Malaysia <strong>Berhad</strong>. Dato’ Gumuri is<br />

also a member of the Securities Commission and Audit Oversight<br />

Board. Within the <strong>Media</strong> <strong>Prima</strong> Group, he sits on the Board of BTO and<br />

Alt <strong>Media</strong> Sdn Bhd.<br />

Dato’ Gumuri was the former Managing Director and Chief Executive<br />

Officer of Penerbangan Malaysia <strong>Berhad</strong> from August 2002 to August<br />

2004. Prior to this, he was a Senior Partner and Deputy Chairman of the<br />

Governance Board of PricewaterhouseCoopers Malaysia. He also served<br />

as a Non-Executive Director of Bank Industri and Teknologi Malaysia<br />

<strong>Berhad</strong>, Malaysian Airline System <strong>Berhad</strong> and Sabah Bank <strong>Berhad</strong>.<br />

Dato’ Gumuri is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in<br />

England and Wales, a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants<br />

and the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants.<br />

Other than as disclosed, he does not have any family relationship with<br />

any Directors and/or major shareholders of <strong>Media</strong> <strong>Prima</strong>. He has no<br />
