The Group maintains regular and proactive communication<br />

with its shareholders and investors, with the provision of<br />

clear, comprehensive and timely information through a<br />

number of readily accessible channels such as Corporate<br />

Website, <strong>Annual</strong> General Meeting and Investors Briefing.<br />

The Group’s Investor Relations policy provides guidelines<br />

on the activities that enable the Board and Management to<br />

communicate effectively with the investment and financial<br />

community and other stakeholders including institutional<br />

investors, fund managers, analyst, bankers as well as<br />

research and stock-broking houses and the general public<br />

in relation to dissemination of timely, relevant and accurate<br />

information pertaining to the Group.<br />

The Corporate Finance Department has conducted an<br />

Investor Relations survey in January 2013 to assess the<br />

levels of satisfaction and effectiveness of <strong>Media</strong> <strong>Prima</strong>’s<br />

Investor Relation activities for <strong>2012</strong>. Selected analysts,<br />

shareholders and fund managers were invited to participate<br />

in the survey. <strong>Media</strong> <strong>Prima</strong> has scored an overall score of<br />

3.95 points (out of a maximum of 5 points) which exceeds<br />

<strong>Media</strong> <strong>Prima</strong>’s KPI target rating of 3.75.<br />

In line with good corporate governance practice, an<br />

annual programme to meet both local and international<br />

managers and analysts is set at the beginning of the year.<br />

In maintaining good rapport and relationship with local<br />

and foreign investors and fund managers, the Group<br />

Managing Director and the Group Chief Financial Officer<br />

attended presentations and meetings in London, Boston,<br />

Hong Kong, Bangkok, Abu Dhabi (UAE) and a series of<br />

local road shows during the year. Briefings with investors<br />

and analysts were also held after second quarter and<br />

fourth quarter’s announcement of financial results to the<br />

Bursa Securities to explain the Group’s strategy,<br />

performance and major developments and to address<br />

other matters affecting shareholders’ interest.<br />

In addition to corporate announcements, events and<br />

developments are notified to the public via press releases<br />

and/or by holding press conferences after general meetings<br />

or corporate events. These would provide shareholders,<br />

analysts and the investing public with an overview of the<br />

Group’s performance and operations. All press releases are<br />

consistent with announcement to Bursa Securities.<br />

All corporate and financial information, such as the <strong>Annual</strong><br />

<strong>Report</strong> of <strong>Media</strong> <strong>Prima</strong> <strong>Berhad</strong>, the quarterly announcements<br />

of the financial results of the Group, and other<br />

announcements and disclosures are available on <strong>Media</strong><br />

<strong>Prima</strong>’s website, www.mediaprima.com.my.<br />
