It was about 11 p.m. that she had come so<br />

close to us we were able to hear the clatter of<br />

<strong>The</strong> reply to this question, accompanied by a<br />

tremendous stamp of the foot, was a most<br />

unearthly sound, produced by the vibration of<br />

lips, tongue, and throat. It was someth<strong>in</strong>g
