<strong>The</strong> shape of the mounta<strong>in</strong>s resembles those<br />

Adoa, but there, the transition limestone formation<br />

shows itself by petrifactions (gonialites,<br />

trilobites, and delthyris), chiefly, however,<br />

secondary limestone, which shows itself by<br />

ammonites, lithographical stone, and Terehratula<br />

vulgaris (near Antalo the same terebratula<br />

limestone has become separated from the clay<br />

and by the change scattered on the surface as<br />

kidney-shaped limestone, or also impressed<br />

with dammerde, which can be recognized, as<br />
