been received in the schools, he is unable to do
anything for them for want of assistance, and
while we have a Bishop and clergymen, besides
several Nonconformists' establishments'
at Sierra Leone on the West Coast, for the
benefit of the emancipated slaves, there is

nothing of the kind on the East Coast. The
consequence is that at Seychelles they unlearn
nothing that was evil in their former lives,
while they increase it tenfold by drunkenness
and debauchery of every kind.
