their own country, where duels and murders are
the only ways of settling disputes. Numbers
of Somallie boys are to be found in Aden, who
get their living by running on errands, by diving
for coppers beneath the sterns of the mail
steamers for the amusement of the
passengei's,
and of fighting together " Enghs fash," as they
call it, at the doors of the hotels for sixpences,
bestowed by the
same persons who have gone
liberated slaves ?— I have no doubt they are happy there,
but I still think that our taking them to our own Colonies
