<strong>Garden</strong> <strong>Grove</strong> Mixed Use ZonesZoning Ordinance AmendmentI. Entrances. Doors that face residential property shall be kept closed at all times duringthe operation of the establishment, except in the case of an emergency or to permitdeliveries.J. Cover Charge. No cover charge or other type of entrance fees shall be required forentrance into the establishment.K. Impacts. In reviewing requests for limited entertainment in conjunction with eatingestablishments/restaurants, of particular concern will be the physical relationship of theproposed <strong>use</strong> <strong>and</strong> impacts of that <strong>use</strong> on surrounding properties. The conditional <strong>use</strong>permit shall be denied if it is anticipated that the <strong>use</strong> will create adverse noise, security,parking <strong>and</strong> traffic impacts <strong>and</strong>/or if an adverse effect on the public health, safety orwelfare will be created.SECTION 9.18.030.160: Equipment Rentals – Large <strong>and</strong> Small.A. Screening. The outdoor storage of rental equipment shall be permitted only whencompletely enclosed with a masonry wall not less than six feet in height. No equipmentshall be visible above the required wall. A steel gate or equivalent shall be utilized whereaccess through the required wall is provided.B. Trailers <strong>and</strong> Trucks. The outdoor display or storage of utility trailers <strong>and</strong> trucks notexceeding 8,000 pounds net weight may be conducted without adherence to the wallenclosure requirement imposed in paragraph A, above.SECTION 9.18.030.170: Extended-Stay Business Hotels.A. Room Size. The minimum individual guest room size shall be 300 square feet in area.B. Minimum Site Area. The minimum site area shall be 80,000 square feet.C. Minimum Street Frontage. The minimum street frontage of the site shall be 150 feet.D. Additional Requirements. Extended-stay business hotels shall be subject to Title 8,Chapter 70 (Public Lodgings) of the Municipal Code.SECTION 9.18.030.180: Food Products, Dairy Products, <strong>and</strong> Bakery Products.A. Food Product Exceptions. Any food product may be produced with the specificexception of those involving the manufacturing <strong>and</strong> processing of: lard, pickles,sauerkraut, sausage, or vinegar, or similar products.B. Sale <strong>and</strong> Slaughter. No sale or slaughter of live animals shall take place, be allowed,or otherwise be provided for.C. Frozen fish repackaging. Frozen fish repackaging is permitted.SECTION 9.18.030.190: Fortunetelling.A. Additional Requirements. All applicants shall observe all the provisions containedwithin Title 5, Chapter 65 (Fortunetelling) of the Municipal Code.Section 9.18.030: Specific Uses – Special Operating Conditions <strong>and</strong> Development St<strong>and</strong>ards 34
