04/07 AWB8230-1541GB Reference and con<strong>tr</strong>ol signalinputsThree-wire con<strong>tr</strong>ol (STA – STP – F/R)Three-wire con<strong>tr</strong>ol is a <s<strong>tr</strong>ong>com</s<strong>tr</strong>ong>mon con<strong>tr</strong>ol method for machines: Twoinputs are used for start and stop pulses and a third for selectingthe direction of rotation.Through the digital inputs configured as STA, STP and F/R you canoperate the frequency inverter with three switches:• STA: Start signal• STP: Stop signal• F/R: Direction of rotationX In PNU A001 enter the value 02 (reference input throughPNU A020).X In PNU A002 enter the value 01 (start signal through digitalinputs).X In PNU A020 enter the reference frequency.If you want to start the inverter through the STA input, the STPinput must be enabled (inverse function, open-circuit protection).The signal must be applied for only a short period (pulse,f 50 ms). When the STP input is disabled, the motor stops.
