04/07 AWB8230-1541GB TroubleshootingFault Condition Possible cause RemedyThe drive speed doesnot correspond withthe frequency. The savedparameters do notcorrespond to theentered values. It is not possible tomake any inputs. The electronic motorprotection activates(fault message E05).RUN LED lit withoutEnable signal– Is the maximum frequency set correctly? Check the set frequency range or the set voltage/frequency characteristic.Entered values havenot been saved. The values of thecopy unit were notaccepted by thefrequency inverter. The motor cannot bestarted or stopped orreference valuescannot be set.No parameters canbe set or changed. Are the rated speed of the motor and the gearboxreduction ratio correctly selected? The supply voltage was switched off before theentered values were saved by pressing the ENTERkey. After the supply voltage was switched off, theentered and saved values are transferred into theinternal EEPROM. The supply voltage shouldremain off for at least six seconds. After copying the parameters of the externalkeypad DEX-KEY-10 into the frequency inverter, the supply voltage was left on for less than sixseconds.Check the rated motor speed or the gearboxreduction ratio.Re-enter the affected parameters and save theinput again.Enter the data again and switch off the supplyvoltage for at least six seconds.Copy the data again and leave the supply voltageon for at least six seconds after <strong>com</strong>pletion.Are PNU A001 and A002 set correctly? Check the settings under PNU A001 and A002.Has software parameter protection beenactivated?Has the hardware parameter protection beenactivated?– Is the manual voltage boost set too high? Were the correct settings made for the electronicmotor protection?– No faultPNU b151 = 01: Function RDY enabled(a page 138)To allow parameter changes, disable parameterprotection with PNU b031.Disable the digital input configured as SFT.Check the boost setting and the electronic motorprotection setting.Set PNU b151 = 00.To be observed when saving changed parameters:After saving changed parameters with the ENTER key, no inputscan be made using the frequency inverter’s keypad for at least sixseconds. If, a key is pressed before this time elapses or if the resetsignal is issued or the frequency inverter is switched off, the datamay not be correctly saved.187
