Calibration C-3User CalibrationCalibrating InputWhen the user calibrates the Bulletin 900-TC32, the input type currentlyselected in parameters is calibrated. The following 24 input types can becalibrated.• Thermocouple: 14 types• Non-contact temperature sensor: 4 types• Analog input: 1 type• Platinum resistance thermometer: 5 typesRegistering Calibration DataThe new calibration data for each item is temporarily registered. It can beofficially registered as calibration data only when all items have been calibratedto new values. So, make sure to temporarily register all items when youcalibrate the Bulletin 900-TC32.When calibration data is registered, it is registered regardless of whether or notthe Bulletin 900-TC32 has been calibrated by the user.Prepare separate measuring devices and equipment for calibration. For detailson how to handle measuring devices and equipment, see the respectiveinstruction manuals.Calibrating Thermocouples• Calibrate according to the type of thermocouple, thermocouple 1 group(input types 0, 2, 5, 6, 8), and thermocouple 2 group (input types 1, 3, 4,7, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 18).• When calibrating, do not cover the bottom of the Bulletin 900-TC32.Also, do not touch the input terminals (nos. 8 and 9) or compensatingconductor on the Bulletin 900-TC32.Publication 900-UM003C-EN-E - January 2004
