6.8 Controlling the Motor via the Control UnitThe control unit enables controlling the connected motor in accordance with the selectedoperation mode of parameter Local/Remote 412.Note:In order to be able to control the drive via the control unit, the digitalcontroller input S1IND (controller release) must be connected and set to"High-Signal" in order to enable the output stage.Warning! • Switch off power supply before connecting and disconnecting controlterminal S1IND.• The unit may only be connected with the power supply switched off.• Make sure that the frequency inverter is discharged.• When the frequency inverter is disconnected from power supply, themains, DC-link voltage and motor terminals may still be live forsome time. Wait for some minutes until the DC link capacitors havedischarged before starting to work at the unit.: When the RUN key was pressed, the drive was in operation already. The CTRL menu branch can be accessed via the navigationwithin the menu structure. The CtrL function contains subfunctionswhich are displayed according to the operating pointof the frequency inverter.Press the RUN key anywhere within the menu structure toaccess the motor potentiometer function PotF. for clockwiseoperation or Potr for anti-clockwise operation directly. If the drive is running already, the display reads intF (clockwiseoperation) / intr (anti-clockwise operation) for the functioninternal reference value or inPF (clockwise operation) /inPr (anti-clockwise operation) for the function"Motorpoti (KP)".The function Motorpoti (KP) enables a link to other referencevalue sources in the frequency reference value channel. Thefunction is described in Chapter “Motorpoti (KP)”.60 02/06
