The aim is to exit MSDSmembers with portable skills at the end of their serviceperiod. The SAAF must also comply with InternationalCivil Aviation Standards in adherence to Air FieldSecurity Regulations. This process has been postponeddue to the high cost and budget restrictions implementedby the SAAF. A 108 accounting codes require ashortened closure process. The Chiefs of Divisions are toperform the investigation and to certify the readiness for closureto the IG DOD. Chief Human Resources has completedsome of the investigations. The normal closing down processhas to be followed with 29 force structure elements. Seven ofthese force structure elements are ready for the pre-auditsnamely Gauteng Medical Command, the Senior Medical andStaff School, the SAMHS Academy, the Military BaseOrdinance Depot, Sickbay Thaba Nchu, SickbayWallmansthal and the Prop Items Standard Stock.ANNUAL REPORT FY 2010/2011 143
