The capability includes inter alia strategic direction,policy and strategic advice and support from theMilitary Policy Strategy and Planning Office as well as thesupport services provided by the DOD Headquarters Unit.Other additional management responsibilities that were delegated<strong>to</strong> the Corporate Staff Office include the performancemanagement <strong>of</strong> the Reserve Force Council and the managemen<strong>to</strong>f the Specialist Advisory Team (Team BULISA)deployed <strong>to</strong> assist in the capacity building <strong>of</strong> the DemocraticRepublic <strong>of</strong> the Congo <strong>Defence</strong> Force (FARDC). TheCorporate Staff Office ensured that the Specialist AdvisoryTeam made significant progress with the completion <strong>of</strong> therespective strategy document for the FARDC.The Acting Chief <strong>of</strong> Corporate Staff involvement in threebilateral and multilateral agreements <strong>of</strong> <strong>Defence</strong> Committeemeetings during FY2010/11 had a direct impact on enhancinginternational military relations and the portrayal <strong>of</strong> a positiveimage <strong>of</strong> the DOD / SANDF during the FY2010/11.O b j e c t i v e s a n d M e a s u r e sThe Corporate Staff Office is part <strong>of</strong> the Policy and Planningsubprogramme <strong>of</strong> the Administration Programme 7 .O u t p u t sTable 4.13 below provides details <strong>of</strong> the Corporate StaffOffice <strong>of</strong> the outputs, performance Indica<strong>to</strong>rs and targets asspecified in the DOD Strategic Plan FY2010/11.7In the ENE, the Policy and Planning allocation includes funding for the Corporate Staff Office as well as the Military Policy,Strategy and Planning Office.46ANNUAL REPORT FY 2010/2011
