O-002Patterns of the Innovation Ecosystems in FinlandAnu Tokila, Jari Ritsilä, Esa Storhammar, University Of Jyvaskyla, School Of Business And Economic, FinlandThis article introduces the statistical characteristics of the regional innovation ecosystems in Finland. The innovation ecosystemsare strongly formed by the history of local milieu as well as regeneration ability and structure of regional economy. Herein webuild a ty-pology which characterizes the different phases of Finnish sub-regions as innovation eco-systems. The concept ofTriple Helix forms the core of the analysis. Thus, we focus on characteristics of enterprise sector, higher education institutesand public sector actors and their co-operation. The analysis combines both input and output factors of innovation systems. Theanalysis builds a model of the regions’ ability to be renewed and developed in terms of education, research and development,entrepreneurship and local governance along with variable challenges.
