The entrepreneurial university model has thus far been introduced at the margins of universities, through technology transferoffices, small and medium enterprise coaching programmes, Today, we need new universities and existing ones modifiedaround new knowledge paradigms that will be the basis for future industry. Michael Crow, President of Arizona State University, has encouraged reformulation of traditional departments into conjoint academic teaching and research structures based on newparadigms to diversify economic activity, for example, a Bio-design College (Crow, 2010).One way to achieve academic renovation that is currently under consideration education policy-makers is mergers or takeoversamong universities. This should be complemented by a start-up strategy based on an entrepreneurial academic design tointroduce new models into an academic system that needs to reinvent itself.References:- Crow, M.
