There is much need to underst<strong>and</strong> the social organization of migrant<br />

smuggling within the broader context of irregular transnational migration. A<br />

collective <strong>and</strong> coordinated effort is needed to move current on migrant smuggling<br />

in the United States, which remains haphazard <strong>and</strong> individual endeavors, to a<br />

higher <strong>and</strong> more policy relevant level.<br />
